The BEAT Pain Approach
Are you ready to beat pain and claim your life back?
I’ve been where you are now, where pain ruled my day to day actions, it dragged me down, I felt incapable and useless, became moody and miserable, work suffered which then impacted on relationships around me. Pain was controlling me and I was starting to think that I would have to learn to live with it. Whilst serving in the military as a RAF Physical Education Officer I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and was unable to do my job properly.
I have now overcome my pain and have my life back. The same can happen to you. Imagine a life where you
- get back to the things you enjoy,
- socialise again,
- feel fully productive at work,
- have more energy to do the things you want to do because pain isn’t zapping it?
- feel happier.
You deserve to unlock the grip of pain and live a fuller life.
Would you like to go back to your old life where pain didn’t rule you 24/7?
- Imagine a life where you could have more freedom
- Imagine a life where you could do the activities you used to do without fear of pain
- Imagine feeling stronger again and have more energy, to go about your day and achieve everything you want to.
- Imagine a life where you can enjoy the things your family enjoys
Maybe you are wondering if it’s even possible for you….

Hi, I’m Katie Rothwell

I want to empower people like you through education and actionable steps to break free from the exhausting grip that is chronic pain. I’ve got a degree in Sports Science and Physiology, qualifications in sports massage, craniosacral therapy, and nutritional therapy. I’ve run a clinic for clients like yourself for over 10 years. Having served in the RAF as a Physical Education Officer and now a qualified pilates instructor, so I feel well placed to advise on exercise rehabilitation.
I have also suffered from, and healed from chronic lower back pain. At the age of 30, as a result of an MRI, I was told that I had degenerative disc disease. I was told not to run or play tennis which was like a life sentence to me. Through craniosacral therapy, massage, learning about chronic pain, easing back into exercise and following an anti-inflammatory diet, I am now free of pain and have my life back. I want to share everything I know to help you get your life back too.
Having persistent pain doesn’t have to control your life anymore
The BEAT pain approach gives you the tools and knowledge to overcome pain, through understanding the brain, understanding how diet and lifestyle can reduce pain and you’ll have 1:1 support throughout. You can attend appointments either online or face to face. By having the knowledge, one is much more likely to engage in behavioural changes.
That means no more….
- Aching in the morning
- Restricting your lifestyle due to pain
- Frustration at trying new therapies
- Worrying about how to get through the day
- Refusing social engagements
What makes BEAT Pain any different to other pain management programs?
- This approach incorporates different theories on how to manage chronic pain. It incorporates a holistic view on pain management.
- It combines education, using modern pain science, with actionable steps to help you take back control.
- With 1:1 advice it gives you personal recommendations and gives you someone to be accountable to.
- Pain is multifaceted and this approach gives a multifaceted approach to manage the pain.
- If you would like to know more about the BEAT Pain approach and understanding pain then please watch the free training video below, and then book a free ‘no obligation’ call with me to discuss your next steps.
A personal note from me
I know how scary it can be to trust someone with your health and wellbeing. I’ve been in that deep dark hole that is chronic back pain. There is so much information out there on the internet that you don’t know where to start. You’ve probably tried so many different therapies and you are still in pain. Please let me be your guide out of that dark downwards spiral and towards a brighter pain free life.
I feel passionate about helping others to learn how they can help themselves for a more long term form of treatment.

The BEAT Pain Program uses 4 pillars to help you understand your pain and learn ways to break free from it.
