Over the years, my approach to helping people with persistent pain hasn’t come from one single source – it’s been shaped by the wisdom of many brilliant minds alongside my own formal training.  My passion for the body started with my degree in Sports Science and Physiology, but it wasn’t until my own back pain story that I found my true passion – overcoming chronic pain and then helping others do the same.  This part of the journey included learning from the likes of:
Lorimer Moseley – understanding that pain didn’t equal tissue damage gave a huge amount of reassurance.  This started my understanding of pain neuroscience

Deepak Ravindran – his book called the Pain Free Mindset gave reassurance from a medical point of view that the holistic approach to healing pain does work.  This book was a big inspiration to the creation of BEAT pain.
Joe Tatta – an American Physical Therapist who uses nutrition to help calm inflammation and therefore reduce pain.  I did his nutritional management of pain course.
John Sarno – many people claim to have healed their back pain just from reading his book.  His book confirmed and explained how locked up emotions can cause physical symptoms.  I was already aware of this through my Craniosacral Training and through my own experience of having an emotional release which really helped my back pain.
Georgie Oldfield – she is a UK physiotherapist who has adopted whole heartedly the mind- body approach introduced by Dr John Sarno.  She launched SIRPA and now has a host of therapists including myself who use this approach to great success.
Nicole Sachs – worked with Dr John Sarno in America and used his approach to heal her from back pain (diagnosis of Spondilolisthesis).  She has written some great books, has a great podcast and very much uses Journaling to unlock emotions.
Howard Schubiner – author of Unlearn your pain and pioneer in the Pain Reprocessing Therapy with Alan Gordon.

Alongside my formal training in :
Degree in Sports Science and Physiology
Leadership and physical education in the RAF
Pilates
SIRPA
Craniosacral Therapy
Sports Massage
…..  all of  this expertise has been condensed into the BEAT Pain Approach – a clear, step by step way to help people overcome persistent pain without it being overwhelming.

And now for the first time, I’m bringing this together inside my brand new BEAT Pain Circle Membership.  This is like having a pain coach in your pocket for a very affordable price.
